See how candidates code before you hire them.

Build the test from the job description, send a link and follow the candidate's editor while they solve it. You end up with a report showing the score and what happened during the session.

You can edit the code and run it again.

What you see while the candidate works

Open the interview and their editor is in front of you. You see what they type, what they delete, when they run the code and which cases pass.

Activity

No screen sharing needed
The candidate's editor is mirrored in yours almost instantly. You only watch: you can't type in their code.
One link, one device
The test is tied to the browser where it starts. To continue on another machine, the candidate confirms with a code sent to their email.
The call stays where you already have it
Talent Code has no video or chat. You talk on the tool you already use, and the code stays here.

Code, an exam or a full project

Four kinds of test. A position can combine several, and each one counts toward the final score with the weight you set.

  • Code

Problems graded with input and output cases, or with cases on a function. The candidate sees some cases and others stay hidden.

Build the test from the job description

Paste the job description, the candidate's resume or an instruction of your own. The AI writes the problems with their cases and runs every solution before handing it to you.

Job description

We're looking for a Frontend Engineer for our product team. Responsibilities · Build interfaces in React + TypeScript · Consume REST APIs and handle async state · Care about performance and accessibility Requirements · Strong in modern JavaScript · Experience with hooks and testing · Comfortable with Git and teamwork

Frontend — TypeScript

TypeScript

Pick a level and generate the test to see the problems.

It's saved as a draft. You review the problems, the cases and the passing score, and publish it when it's ready.

Illustrative example: in the app, generating takes one to two minutes.

The report for each interview

Each test is graded on submission. The report combines the scores by weight, adds what happened during the session and leaves room for your conclusion. You can print it or save it as a PDF.

AI summary

Solved both problems with clear solutions and tried cases of her own before submitting. In the project, the 404 error on the detail route was left uncovered. Worth asking about the paste at minute 31.

What gets recorded

  • Every paste, with the number of characters and the minute.
  • Each time the candidate left the tab and how long they took to come back.
  • Typing rhythm and how much they corrected.
  • A version of the code for every run.

Signals are computed with rules, not AI, and we don't use a camera. They are points to review with the candidate, not an accusation.

History and ranking

Every interview is saved with its score and conclusion. In Reports you see the candidate ranking by project and export it to CSV.

Each company works in its own space

When you create the account you choose the name and the subdomain. The logo and color apply to your team's panel and to the emails the candidate receives.

Roles
Owner, admin, recruiter and interviewer. Recruiters see the projects they're assigned to; interviewers see the interviews they conduct.
Projects and positions
Organize hiring by client or by internal need. Each position keeps its tests and the weight of each one.
Trainings
The same tests work for assessing your own team: share a link, restrict access to the company's email domain and compare results.
